Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer. The following data is collected:

The data is also stored in the log files of our system. This data is not linked with other personal data of the user.

I.III. Purpose of Data Processing and Legitimate Interest

• The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user's computer.
• Storage in log files is carried out to ensure the functionality of the website.
• In addition, personal data is stored anonymously.

This data is not evaluated for marketing purposes.

II.I. Description and Scope of Data Processing

Our website does not set any cookies. In order to remember your language choice beyond a single visit, we store one single entry in your browser's local storage:

• language with the value “de” or “en”

This entry remains solely in your browser and is not transmitted to us or to any third party. It contains no identifier that would allow your device to be recognised. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings. No user profiles are created.

Storing the language choice is necessary to provide the service you have expressly requested – displaying the site in the language you selected. Our website provides a contact form for getting in touch electronically. If you use it, the data entered in the form is transmitted to us. The following data is collected:

The data is forwarded to us by email only. It is not stored in any database on the website. Beyond the data listed above we do not collect anything else when the form is submitted; in particular, your IP address is not stored together with your message.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for responding to your request, together with your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

III.III. Purpose of Processing

The data from the form is processed solely to handle your enquiry. It is not used for advertising purposes without your separate consent.

III.IV. Duration of Storage

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case once the circumstances indicate that the matter has been conclusively dealt with. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

III.V. Protection Against Automated Submissions

To protect the form against abuse by bots, we use two mechanisms that run entirely on our own server:

• a simple arithmetic question that must be answered before sending
• an input field that is invisible to visitors and, in practice, only filled in by automated programs

No data is transmitted to third parties and no additional data about you is collected. No external captcha service is used.

On the “Career” page we embed a job listing module provided by JOIN Solutions AG, Eichenstrasse 2, 8808 Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, which displays our open positions. When you open that page, your browser loads content directly from the following servers of the provider:

• join.com
• widget.join.com
• cdn.join.com

Establishing such a connection technically requires your browser to transmit data to the provider. This includes in particular your IP address, information about your browser and operating system, and the address of the page you are viewing. We have no influence on the nature and extent of any further processing by JOIN Solutions AG. The module also loads its own font from the provider's server.

V.II. Legal Basis and Purpose

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in presenting our open positions in an up-to-date manner without maintaining them twice.

V.III. Transfer to a Third Country

JOIN Solutions AG is based in Switzerland. The European Commission has recognised an adequate level of data protection for Switzerland (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR), so no additional safeguards are required for the transfer.

VI.I. Description

The fonts used on this website are stored on our own server and delivered from there. No connection to third-party servers – such as Google Fonts – takes place. The exception is the “Career” page, where the job listing module described under V. loads a font of its own.

VII.I. Description

We do not use any web analytics, tracking or advertising tools on this website. Your behaviour on the website is not analysed, no profiles are created and no data is passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
